Slide forces a partial road closure on Route 91 in Tazewell County

Bristol, Va. – The southbound lane of Route 91 between Routes 601 and 607 is closed due to a slide in the area.  There will be temporary traffic signals on each side of the slide to maintain one-way traffic through the area.  Once an assessment of the slide is done, crews will be begin cleanup and repairs.  A timeframe for repairs has not been established.

Motorists should use caution in the area and be alert to signs and message boards.
