Rest area on northbound Interstate 77 in Carroll County to close temporarily for paving

SALEM – Paving at the rest area on northbound Interstate 77 in Carroll County, just north of the North Carolina border, at mile marker 1 near Lambsburg will cause temporary closures in the month of September. Weather permitting, the tentative schedule for closing the rest area is as follows:

• On Thursday, Sept. 21, the rest area will be closed between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• On Friday, Sept. 22, tractor-trailers will not be able to park at the rest area between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• On Friday, Sept. 29, the rest area will be closed between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
