Traffic alert: Troutville roadwork to impact Stoney Battery Road and Route 11 in Botetourt County

SALEM — Weather permitting, Route 651 (Stoney Battery Road) in Botetourt County will be closed at its intersection with Route 11 in the town of Troutville, beginning Monday, July 8, at 8 a.m. The closure is expected to be removed by Wednesday, July 10, at 8 a.m.

The road closure will be in place for drainage repairs. Drivers will need to use alternate routes such as Route 716 (Apple Orchard Road) or the northern end of Stoney Battery Road during the closure.

In addition, during this same timeframe, the right lane of Route 11 will be closed between Route 651 (Sunset Avenue) and Route 757 (Maple Avenue).

Message boards will be in place on Route 11 and on Stoney Battery Road to alert drivers to the closure.
